Up Your Crypto Mining Game With Crypto Hardware

I always wanted to share my cryptocurrency experience with you guys, but never got the opportunity. I used to mine on a small home-made system back in college days, that was 5-6 years ago. Whatever Bitcoin I had I sold to a friend when I moved back with my parents. One main reason for mining was the increasing cost and also at home, I didn’t have much space for a dedicated system for mining. It was really huge with all the fans. And without the fans, I couldn’t mine more than 3-4 hours per day which wasn’t much. So instead of wasting time and money, I sold off everything to a friend. Even though bitcoin is valued way more now than when I sold it I don’t regret it, I did a earn quite a lot while selling.

So why talking about it now? Well, I have been hearing about Cryptocurrencies a lot these days. If you have been following cryptocurrency, you would know how much is Bitcoin valued against USD. I kind of feel like it’s a bit late to join the Bitcoin wagon but there are plenty of other options like Litecoin, Dashcoin and even Dogecoin 😁.

I started researching on mining as my knowledge was outdated. I didn’t want to install huge machines like earlier. While looking for new smaller hardware I stumbled across a seller named Crypto Hardware. They are based out of Portugal. Their hardware was pretty decent. I was a bit skeptical at first. I am always skeptical while shopping online because I had bad experiences earlier with online shops. So I dug around a bit and found nothing shady so decided a make a purchase.

To my surprise, they shipped within 24 hours and I got a tracking id. I received the item and it was well packed. Unpacking took 5 mins and I was mining within 15 mins. It’s bit noisy so I decided to move it to the basement and once it was closed properly the noise didn’t travel outside the basement. In one word, it does not disturb my sleep 😝.

Why I love Marketing1on1 and Their Marketing Services

My first job was in a content syndication firm, we outsourced our marketing tasks to a small marketing team and they were responsible to generate leads. I have seen them give fake promises to the sales team. Their promises included lead generation, buyer insight, SEO ranking, brand visibility of intellectual properties the company owned. They delivered nothing, we were sitting on million dollar IP’s and we were not able to sell a single program. I had a bit knowledge of marketing and I was assigned to meet these guys and understand what’s the issue. Upon meeting them I understood that they had no clue about content and how to place them for advertising. The same thing happened when we hired another firm.

But’s that old story, today I run my blog and earn my living from it. So why tell old stories now? My blog has grown a lot but I think it can grow even more with expert marketing. I started searching for firms and couldn’t find any good ones. And also because of my past experience with agencies, I couldn’t just give my blog which is my bread and butter some random agency. I wanted assurance and quality. I almost gave up searching for a firm and thought I would hire a someone under me. I knew it wasn’t the right thing to do but I had no option.

This is when I came across a YouTube video of a random guy talking about his business and how a marketing agency helped him. So I the agency website and found it interesting. Their website was not like other agencies, they didn’t welcome me with fancy animations and stuff but they had a lot of information on their site. I spend hours reading those and I came to the conclusion that the knowledge I have in marketing was just the tip of the iceberg. They offer a wide range of services. Link building, SEO, Social Media marketing, content writing and many more. I signed up with them a month back and so far things are good. It will take some time for good results but I can see it’s going the right direction.

Too Many Spam Emails? Email on Deck Is Here To Rescue You

Have you ever wondered why you get so many promotional emails from companies you never shared your email with? I used to wonder the same. But last year I found out how.

A company which gives free Photoshop design files were selling emails to other companies. I don’t want to link to that site but will give you a brief on how they work. They source PSD files from across the web with the permission of the designers who are already giving it for free. This website has so many files that it a lot of people depend on this, making it a successful website. So designers think they are getting a good exposure. Now coming to the downloading part. This website doesn’t allow you to download the file directly from their website, they email you the download link. So when you enter the email they store it and sell it to marketers who spam you. Huh! Solution to this?

You can do many things to protect your email. But I am going to focus on one method and I think this is the best one.

Creating temporary emails is the best thing to do in such cases. There are many temporary email address providers but my favorite is Email on Deck. Within 2 clicks you will get a temporary email and start receiving emails. Compared to other similar services, Email on Deck is the most user-friendly. They guide you through each step. Once you are done, you can click on the “Forget this email and get another” button and your email will be deleted and no one would be able to use it again.

Another feature I like is the email recovery feature. If you have an email token, you can recover the email which you used earlier. You can find the email token at the bottom of the page where you receive the emails. Only you can recover your emails, no one else can.

How Reliance Jio Changed The Way I Work

I love to write about tech and also build websites. Been writing for more than 5 years and self-learned web development couple of years back. Developing websites is a time-consuming task and with my full-time job as a Digital Media Executive doesn’t give me the time to work on independent projects. Well, you might say, you can always work after reaching home. But trust me, it’s not easy. You don’t feel like working after a 8 hour long office. All I want to do once I reach home is watch my favorite TV series and have a beer or two.

Because of this work started to pile up. So I decided to visit a cafe near bt after work and work for 2-3 hours a day before going home. The cafe provided free Wi-Fi but it was slow as it was a public hotspot. They gave me an option for high-speed internet for a monthly subscription. Decided to sign up for it. Paid connection was giving me pretty decent speed but soon the manager approached me and told me that I can’t use their Wi-Fi as I was consuming a lot of bandwidth. What were they expecting from someone building websites? I don’t like developing websites on local instance I rather host it somewhere and work on that.

I was about to buy a higher package from them. But Reliance announced Jio and they were proving unlimited data. Now why should I pay for decent internet when I can get around 17Mbps?

Got myself a Jio sim through my company. Had to get a new android device as I have an iPhone 5S which didn’t support Volte. It’s easy & affordable to get an android device with Volte support. A quick search on Google for best phone under 25000 in India did the job. Got a MI device and started using it as a hotspot. The speed is so amazing that I now work for around 3-4 hours after work. Testing websites is not a difficult task now. I completed around 8-9 websites in a month. I am really impressed with the speed and pricing.

A Simple Keylogging Software Saved A Small Startup From Being Shut Down

When I first heard about one of my favorite startup being shut down, I was surprised because of many factors. First reason being, it generated more than $1 million in revenue in the previous year. They were into content syndication and came to know about them when I sold rights of one of my short films to them. They gave me a pretty good deal and I really enjoyed working with them. Second reason for me being shocked is that I wanted to sell my next short film to these people.

The first thing I did when I came to know about the shutting down is, I emailed the executive with whom I signed the deal for my previous short film and asked him about the shutdown. After a week I received a response confirming that they were shutting down because of low sales. CEO of the company was also CC’ed, so after 3 days I receive an email from the CEO thanking me for the continued support and other details about the shutdown. One thing I noticed from his email was that they had quality content with them but it’s not being placed properly to the market.

I wrote a personal mail to him asking him about his explanation for why the company is being shut down. And the answer was that the old team he worked was replaced by a group of new employees and soon he started to see sales go down and were not able to anything about it. He wasn’t just sure who wasn’t performing well, so he couldn’t find a solution to the situation. Also, he didn’t want to punish all the employees just because a couple of them weren’t performing well. I wished him good luck for his future and said I’ll miss working with them. This conversation ended here and I moved on to find a new agency for my film. But after 6 months I received a promotional mail from these guys and I was surprised. A company which was closing down 3 months back sends me a promotional mail, I was curious. I emailed the CEO and asked about the promotional mail. He said they weren’t shutting down. As I was a supportive client. he went ahead and told me what happened.

He used a simple keylogging software to monitor his employees for a month and found out what was happening inside the company. He found out that, some of his employees were sending client data to the competitor and was accepting cash from them. No wonder their sales dropped. I congratulated him and said that I am happy that they are still operational. Also being curious about the software, I asked him what did he use to monitor his employees.

He was using a keylogger called Spytector. I did a quick Google search and found more details about this amazing piece of software. I downloaded their trial version to give the software a spin and was really impressed by the software. The only drawback I found in the trial version is that it was detected by my anti-virus, later found out that only trial version is detected by antivirus as the build is available publicly. SO I went ahead purchased the software. Boom! After installing the paid version, my anti-virus never detected it. There was no trace of Spytector on my PC. Shout out to the developer for achieving this, because almost every keylogger in the market fails when it comes to anti-viruses detecting the software.

The installation process was so simple that anyone can install the software without much technical knowledge. Spytector works with all the Windows OS’s out in the market.

I would totally recommend installing Spytector if you want to monitor your employees without them noticing. You think monitoring employees is not ethical? Yes, even I think that, but hey, you are paying them to work for you, not to send your data to someone else or watch cat videos all day. So if they perform less, you have the right to check what they are doing.

Mashable Like Social Media Sharing Button for WordPress with Share Graph

When Mashable changed their site design couple of years back everyone went crazy. Bloggers wanted similar themes and many WordPress theme seller forums were filled with requests. Some requests, even included requests to build a share button plugin which had social share graph along with it. Mashable calls their graph “Mashable Velocity Graph”. The graph shows how quickly people are sharing the article on the social Web.

Finally, Epic Plugins has done it for you. They have made a social share button which looks very much similar to Mashables social share button. They have also included the Velocity graph from Mashable. Epic Plugins calls this feature “Social Buzz Graph” and they claim that the graph serves the same function of Mashables Velocity Graph. You can get the plugin on Codecanyon for $19, it is named “Social Buzz WordPress Plugin – Social Share Graphs“.

The plugin currently only supports Facebook, Twitter, Google+ & Linkedin. While Mashable has StumbleUpon and Pinterest extra. That’s the only negative part I find in this plugin at the moment. I am sure the developers are working on adding more social media sites. Also, I am not sure how the Social Buzz graph works or does it work as they say. I will be trying out the plugin soon and will post a review.

I totally recommend Epic Plugins as I have tried their Social Gallery WordPress Video Viewer Plugin. They provide amazing support and frequent updates. You can read more about Social Gallery Plugin here. You should try it if you have YouTube/Vimeo videos on your WordPress site. I guarantee you increased shares resulting increased traffic.

Add this plugin to a theme which looks similar to the Mashables website design, you will have a Mashable clone. A couple of months back, I wrote an article about Mashable Look alike WordPress Themes. Check out those themes and you will be all set to release an amazing blog.

Upload to Instagram from your Computer – PC & Mac

Instagram user base is rapidly growing and one thing everyone wants to do is to upload to Instagram from their personal computer. Wouldn’t it be great, if it is possible to upload to Instagram from your computer. Instagram does have a website which can be accessed from our computer, but only supports viewing, liking, following & commenting. We cannot upload to Instagram using their website.

A workaround for this is by using a 3rd party software named “Gramblr“. Gramblr helps you to upload your image on Instagram, you can also captions. Once it successfully uploads your picture, it gives the option to share your uploaded picture on Facebook & Twitter. Other links you get once upload is completed are Direct Link, Web Link, HTML Code, Forum BBC Code. Currently Gramblr supports Windows & Mac operating systems.

The image you want to upload should be optimized for Instagram and all the filters you want to apply should be applied beforehand. Gramblr doesn’t have any option to edit images. Make sure your image dimension is 650px by 650px. Your picture won’t be uploaded if the dimension is not correct, also the file size should not exceed 500kb.

Uploading to Instagram through Gramblr is simple:
1. Open Gramblr Photo Uploader
2. Sign in to Instagram
3. Choose the photo you would like to upload
4. Add a caption
5. Hit upload, that’s it.

If you are not good with Photoshop, you can try some free online image editor on which you resize, apply filters, do crazy stuffs, etc… One of my favorite editor is Pixlr by Autodesk. Out of the 3 options on the site I recommend Pixlr Express, it is good for both beginners and professionals. If you are in a hurry and need some pretty cool effects try Pixlr O-Matic, you can do epic stuff to your image in less than a minute. If you want to get your hands dirty try Pixlr Editor, you will get a lot of different options which are not available to Pixlr Express & Pixlr O-Matic.

Gramblr is a lifesaver for Social Media Managers. Most of the image they get to upload are in different dimensions and Pixlr+Gramblr will help them create amazing posts. There are moments when you find an old picture on your computer and wants to upload that to Instagram but is too lazy to transfer it to mobile. Gramblr is here to help these lazy ones.
